School Programs

Before  & After School Programs

From 7:00-8:30 am, Columbus Parks & Recreation Department has a before school program for students who need supervision during early hours.  After school between 3:15-6:00 students are provided with snacks, opportunities to complete homework, and a variety of supervised activities. 21st Century Program

The 21st Century CCLC Programs provide youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, technology education programs, art, music and recreation programs, and counseling and character education to enhance the academic component of the program. Their Tutorial services and academic enrichment activities are designed to help students meet local and state academic standards in subjects such as reading and math.                                                   

Instructional Extension Program

The goals of the MCSD Instructional Extension Program are to improve the academic skills of low-performing K-12 students, provide an effective retention intervention, and positively impact students attitudes about learning and school.

Glory Program

Gifted education is available from kindergarten thru high school.  Depending on the school the child attends, services are provided either in the current school or one day per week at St. Elmo Gifted Education Center.
